So you've taken the first step..........
People access therapy for all sorts of reasons including: work-place stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem/confidence, self-harm, panic, unwanted thoughts, family and relationship problems, divorce, bereavement, past issues, childhood abuse, addiction.... to name but a few. However some people don't really know why they are feeling the way they do but just don't feel 'normal'. Therapy can help you to clarify what is going on and help you to feel in a more settled place.
Making the decision to see a therapist/counsellor is a big step forward in dealing with whatever issues are troubling you. It often comes about when those issues start to impact on you, and those closest to you, on a day to day basis. I understand that it is often an anxious and daunting step to take and I aim to provide you with enough information to help you decide if therapy is the right choice for you.
